We are an association of Ghanaians living in Estonia.
Officially, Eesti ghanalaste ühing (The Estonian Ghanaian Association MTÜ), was formed in September 2017, and registered on 12 September 2020, under the Non-Profit Associations Act of Estonia (1996) – registration code: 80585799
The Association is non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan.
Aims and Objectives
Our Aims and Objectives are outlined below:
- To bring together and foster friendly relationships among all Ghanaians resident in Estonia.
- To assist wherever possible, members of the Association in times of difficulties
- To create awareness among Ghanaians with respect to the cultural and socio-economic situation in Estonia, to stimulate thought which will be necessary for the adjustment and integration in Estonia.
- To serve as the official body to liaise between Ghanaians in Estonia and the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Embassy responsible for Estonia, other consulates and country representations and any other state institution when there is a matter that affects Ghanaians in Estonia in general.
- To form, leverage on expert group(s), business cooperation and entrepreneurial initiatives to enhance Estonia-Ghana (Africa) Collaborations
Our Activities
Our Association engages in the following activities:
- Organise Ghanaians resident in Estonia towards fostering friendly relations among them and the Estonian society
- Organise meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences that will further the objectives of the Association
- Organise events, exhibitions and other activities that will help to create cultural and socio-economic cohesion
- Promote and engage in research, scientific work, development projects in any areas of the Objectives of the Association through business cooperation and entrepreneurial initiatives
- Engage in other activities in accordance with relevant laws.
